ALOHA MASSAGE™

Out of 18 years of massage experience, Destini has created the perfect massage technique  ̶  ALOHA MASSAGE™.  This is a combination of LomiLomi Bodywork, Thai Table Massage, VOICE MASSAGE™ and Reiki Energy Healing.

     Lomilomi Bodywork is termed by the Hawaiians as healing through loving touch.  Lomilomi is gentle yet very deep and powerful. Lomilomi stirs the bioenergetic force or life force (mana) of the individual. Thus, pure expression in physical form (one's own essence) is reawakened, and the individual gravitates toward wellness. With regular treatments, a healthy balance can be maintained throughout your life.

     Lomilomi assists in the process of healing, recuperation and rehabilitation. Other therapeutic benefits of Lomilomi include: pain relief, improved circulation and lymph drainage, relief to the nervous system, improves range of motion and increased energy level and flexibility.

     Thai Table Massage incorporates stretches on the table rather than on a mat on the floor.  These stretching movements in Thai Massage create more flexibility in the body, release both deep and superficial tensions, and increase the body’s natural energy flow. The effect of these stretching movements is very similar to Yoga.  The amount of stretching in an ALOHA MASSAGE™ depends upon the individuals needs and/or desires. Because of the effectiveness of Thai Massage to induce deep rest and relaxation, it is beneficial to anyone in need of stress reduction or with stress related disorders. With its unique use of stretching movements, Thai Massage is valuable for every- one who would benefit from increased flexibility.

     VOICE MASSAGE™ is somewhat self-explanatory.  As a hypnotherapist, Destini has many relaxation techniques at her disposal.  Knowing that hypnotherapy is begins with creating a relaxed state, the hypnotic state has already begun using massage.  So it is the perfect opportunity to offer relaxation suggestions at the same time.  Generally, this is only done for a few minutes at the beginning, in the middle and the very end of the massage, not through the entire massage.  When the massage is complete, you walk away with a very powerful relaxation tool that you can use throughout your daily life to keep you in a more relaxed state all the time. 

     Reiki Energy Healing is a Japanese technique that promotes healing through stress reduction, relaxation and opening energy channels.  This is accomplished simply by laying hands on another and focusing energy.  We are life force.  Life force is around us and flows through us.  If one's life force is low, then there is a greater likelihood of becoming sick or stressed.  As a Reiki Master and Level Three Qigong Instructor, Destini is always generating and sending Healing Energy as part of her treatment protocols.

You Are Always In Control – You always have a choice, if you want the full ALOHA MASSAGE™ or wish to skip some components.  The massage is tailored to fit the individual’s preferences.  Good communication creates a great massage, and a great massage experience is what Aloha Wellness is all about!

Destini is a graduate of AKS Massage School in Herndon (1994), VA, Lomilomi School of Hawaiian Studies (1995), in Ashville, OR, and the Thai Massage Masters Program (2007), in Massachusetts.  She became a Reiki Master in 1995 and studied with the International Institute of Reflexology (1996) in Jacksonville, FL.
